How to Rappel on a Budget

I forsee a rappel accident followed by a tunnel collapse. Kids and their vid cameras these days. It's more about the video to show and tell to friends, and less about the actual experience and doing it right.

"Second thing you need is a good place to rappel. I'm on a railroad bridge."

The was an exceptional video. Exceptional!!

I`m surprised he didn't wrap the clothesline around the train track because its metal. He should start his own custom harness company. Is a "Buget" french for something?

I know. Have that book and dozens others on loose nukes and similar.

just figured our boy could do a better job on less parts.

The boyscout actually had the right idea and enough hot fuel to get his backyard shed condemned and turned into a hazmat removal site.

Two pages of incredulity? And BTW, I just won the British lottery for 1,000,000 sterling. I just need a way to get it into the good ole' US of A. Can any of you geniuses help me out?

the rappeller seemed to have some extra pockets available in his hunters pouch,(I mean rope bag). See if he's up for an assist.

I'm confused.

He has a quicklink and obviously went through the trouble of learning the prusik, but then he uses that terrible harness, old rope, and hardware store carabiners. It's like he read 1/4th of an article on rappelling then thought, "Meh, I can figure out the rest on my own."

Also, he really does have some other great videos up. My favorite is probably "How to set yourself on fire real easy."

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
