I've seen so many couple meltdowns on the flatirons, and nearly my own.

I lost a pink Tri-Cam two weeks ago, but it was damaged anyway, keep it if that's it.

Lets hear the stories about the couples meltdowns.

Bowl haircut guy wants his olive drab webbing and steel carabiner.

I left some gear up there and can give you specifics. Is there a number I can call you or somehow privately contact you to give you a description?

1. My personal one involved me talking my then GF now wife into climbing on a VERY warm afternoon. She's a good sport, but she's not psyched enough to through that type of heat in a jovial mood. She was hot and bother, and not in the good way.

2. My buddy blames his GF for loosing "two keylock lockers, and a 4 foot Mammut skinny sling" when she refused to finish the last pitch of the ridge and they bailed. Alternatively, his GF blames him for "forcing me to do something I didn't want to do when he knew I don't like heights." 3. I've seen a few squabbles from CU couoples who are stressed and sniping eachother. The worst was when a guy was taking FOREVER to climb the very easy ramp section right off the deck o Baker's way. The girls first said, "if you're afraid, just come back." He quickly retorted, "I'm not f-ing scared, I'm route find." 10 minutes and 10 feet later, she said, "I thought you knew what you're doing." The fit hit the shan at that point, My buddy and I did zig zag instead.

Not at the Flatirons, but still an honorable mention. During our first trip to Seneca, my girlfriend and I overheard a classic exchange between a climbing couple:

Climber 1 (terrified and shrieking): take!
Climber 2 (calm): OK, I got you
Climber 1 (even more terrified, voice cracking): NO YOU DON'T!! TAKE MORE!!!!

As for the gear, no successful ID yet =/

On the opposite end a couple weeks ago at the lake my buddy and I heard what we assumed to be a couple... "you can do it pookie bear, just a little further pumpkin" and all kinds of beta LOUDLY from a couple buttress' away. So the rest of the day I called my buddy pookie bear too.

On the flip side of the horror story, my buddy proposed to his girlfriend atop the third flatiron and now they're happily married....
