Clark Canyon conditions?

Hi,
I'm planning on coming down to the Bishop/Mammoth area next week from Reno, and was wondering what the conditions in Clark Canyon are like. I've not been there before. As it's at 7000' I'm wondering if it's still a bit too early in the season.
Thanks,
Bruce.

Mid-may is about when you can get past the last snowbanks in a normal season, so late May/early June is more likely this year...

Its on the way down from Reno, you should check it out on your way down and post up here. Just don't get stuck if theres too much snow.

Thanks for the info. Does seem as though this is still a bit early for Clark Canyon. Might have to stick with the Gorge for the moment, especially as the forecast is for pretty cool temps early next week. But might check out the access road in anyway.

Road is clear of snow

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
