Hi, I'm interested in learning more about everyone here on MP. Write a blurb about yourself that isn't already on your personal page.

This will be so awesome! I'm almost certain that this thread will be met with joy and good feelings by all and that no one will back-lash against me for having started such a thread. :-)

Here are some question to get you started...

1) What is the purpose of your life?

2) What is your favorite color?

3) What do you dream about?

4) If you could make just one change about our world, what would it be?

5) What is your favorite food?

6) Do you have a phobia of carbon monoxide? If not, what other phobias might you have?

7) What's your longest long distance run?

8) Who do you have romantic feelings for?

9) What was your most memorable outdoor activity?

10) Are you afraid of death?

4) If you could make just one change about our world, what would it be? Take away all mass produced stuff, everyone have to give back as much as they take.

5) What is your favorite food? Free food

6) Do you have a phobia of carbon monoxide? If not, what other phobias might you have? Water, trying to work on it thou, went surfing this last weekend for the first time ever.

7) What's your longest long distance run? 26.2 miles :)

8) Who do you have romantic feelings for? Any cute climbing boy willing to be my ropegun but also let me lead my easy fun routes.

1) What is the purpose of your life? To find out who I am and how far I can push myself. To constantly improve.

2) What is your favorite color? Blue (skies)

3) What do you dream about? A cute girl who climbs

4) If you could make just one change about our world, what would it be? I wish more people would have the opportunity to better enjoy their lives instead of being a slave to the workplace and their financial responsibilities. I wish my father for one had this opportunity. I would also remove the walkway up the Bastille and install rap bolts on The Dome :)

5) What is your favorite food? Ice Cream Cake

6) Do you have a phobia of carbon monoxide? If not, what other phobias might you have? No - Ants, Spiders, and going head first into sleeping bags.

7) What's your longest long distance run? 11 miles - ish

8) Who do you have romantic feelings for? I want to meet a girl who is honest and ethical. Someone with a sense of humor, who doesn't take life too seriously and shares a passion and appreciation for the great outdoors. I'm not convinced she exists... :)

9) What was your most memorable outdoor activity?
Epics on their 2nd and 3rd Flatirons. Character building moments also occurred on a January Ascent of Mt Yale.

10) Are you afraid of death? As I have gotten older and began a life on my own, I have discovered many of the things that I love and I can only hope this will continue. In high school I was not a particularly happy person because I had not discovered the community that embraces risk and adventure like those I have met here in Colorado. As I grow older, I continue to find more things I am passionate about. I fear death in a way that I know there are so many things left for me to find in this world. I manage my style of life by trusting in myself and the partners that I climb and adventure with. I do not think about death on a regular basis.

OK, this could get really boring. You've been warned.

1. I'll let you know when I figure that out. Right now, my sole purpose seems to be supporting my family.

2. Blue.

3. Time to go climbing. Finally ticking Astroman or the Rostrum. Maybe another trip up the Captain. Total pipe dream would be climbing Changabang, Trango Tower or something similar.

4. That people would be good to one another.

5. King crab legs, a nice steak.

6. Nope.

7. 13.1 miles.

8. My wife, when I'm not pissed at her.

9. Climbing the Captain or just being out in the middle of the Sierra Nevada.

Edit. Forgot 10. Nope. Just afraid of not getting enough in beforehand or wasting the time I have.

Stop trying to convert me. I'm already quite happy, and Joseph Smith was a liar.

1) What is the purpose of your life?
Im still trying to find that out by breaking everything back to basic needs and pleasures, trying to determine where my energy spent is most productive, how to get the maximum results from time spent whether that translates to personal relationships, rock climbing, running, working. I feel that the main purpose of my life is to live extraordinarily, like it’s a movie, not being lazy, make big dreams happen, and enhance the quality of life of those around me as much as possible.

2) What is your favorite color?
The burning orange tangerine brilliance of the red rocks in the desert at sunset, and *sage green.

3) What do you dream about?
I dream about getting scared on faraway peaks, letting it all hang out, pushing my limits, smiling every morning knowing that even though it really sucks to be there at the moment, on the verge of hypothermia or dehydration, broken fingers or toes, the story will be worth writing about, or sharing with friends over a cold beer later, but most of the time finding a good woman.

4) If you could make just one change about our world, what would it be? Destroying Big Government.

5) What is your favorite food?
Rice and beans with sausage out of my jetboil in the high peaks, or after a day of climbing in the desert.

6) Do you have a phobia of carbon monoxide? If not, what other phobias might you have? The terrible pain of my family and friends if I were to die in the mountains.

7) What's your longest long distance run? 9 miles

8) Who do you have romantic feelings for? A woman I might someday find.

9) What was your most memorable outdoor activity?
Wow, to narrow that down is almost impossible, but the tops, living out of a Subaru Forester for 3 months with my ex, summer of 08’ a year after we graduated high school, and after 8 months of stuffing bills in wine bottles so as not to spend it. The inexplicable bliss of young burning love on an incredible adventure…
The summer of the VSS with Price, 9 consecutive 3 day weekends climbing in the Creek and the Swell, and 9 or so more in the next two months .

10) Are you afraid of death?
I am only afraid of the pain of the ones left in the wake of my crazy life. This adrenaline stuff is going to be the death of me.

1) What is the purpose of your life? Start a commune in Idaho called Youdapimp! Just kidding. I live for those moments that make me tear up because the perfection is almost unbearable. Like when my friend MB told me about her daughter's first grand mal seizure when she was five. When she came out of it the paramedics asked her a bunch of questions. Nothing she said was at all coherent, except when they asked her "how do you feel", she said with perfect coherency "I feel like I've read a million poems"

2) What is your favorite color? dark greens, dark blues

3) What do you dream about? Well, first off I never ever EVER dream about sex and that bums me out sometimes. Never nightmares either, but that doesn't bum me out at all. Just really weird far out stuff, as in when I wake up I think "whoa, where the hell did THAT come from?". Sometimes I dream of recurring places, this house I've never been to except in my dreams.

4) If you could make just one change about our world, what would it be? Give those people a deep sense of empathy who don't seem to have any.

5) What is your favorite food? Indian!!!!! As hot as they can make it.

6) Do you have a phobia of carbon monoxide? If not, what other phobias might you have? What a strange question. Don't do it man. You might need somebody to take care of, someone who needs YOU, that's a good purpose maker. Ever thought about volunteering at the old folks home? Or volunteering to help with special needs people? There's a thousand people who need you - you'll meet one of them tomorrow.

7) What's your longest long distance run? I would rather be skinned alive in a salt mine that have to run long distance.

8) Who do you have romantic feelings for? you

9) What was your most memorable outdoor activity? There are many. Here's one: Back in '94 I attended my first Rainbow Gathering in WI. A 14 year old kid named Clovis showed up and wanted to make donuts in a tree. So we spent a few hours building a large platform out of scavenged downed logs in a very large oak about 15 feet up, and built a mud fire pit on it. He had all the ingredients. By the time we fired it up, it was dark. But word had spread and people were showing up for homemade donuts and climbing into the tree. He would form the balls and drop them in the oil, I would pick out the cooked ones, roll in sugar and hand them off. There must have been a hundred people in that tree, every limb, more on the ground. Couldn't see very well, but everywhere I looked there were eyes looking back at me through the leaves and branches and drizzle, waiting for their donut. It was surreal.

10) Are you afraid of death? Not afraid of death. I am afraid of what I might miss out on if I check in too early.

Ok, Mr. Parker Spencer, I told you about me, now it's your turn. Let's have it!

I don't know what most of you think, but this topic is a suicide note. I'm glad some of the folks got to Spence and hopefully it works out to get him some help.

There's really very little humor in trying to take yourself out.

I hope you're wrong...I took it as the initial steps in LDS missionary work a-la Internet.

9) What was your most memorable outdoor activity? I think that this time in Cerro Torre is memorable experience for me. I am very not happy that people do not understand why I am wanting to climb this mountain, but it is only giving me motivating to climb this beautiful mountain that I have the most respect.

10) Are you afraid of death? I do not think that this death is a problem. We go everywhere with our drilling machines and we are not scared of the world.
