Which kind of bad ass are you? Is it better to stretch the ice/ski/winter calendar into climbing season or vice versa?

For me, it's a hypothetical question. I have no winter skills. You?

Good weather, bad weather. Anytime's good for climbing.

I smiled when I read this quote. Anybody care to name the film?

What is bad weather?

I didn't realize Colorado had a winter season. I thought it was just broken down to alpine season and front range season. My current location on the other hand...now that is a different story.

If it's colder than 40 and windy I'd rather climb ice/mixed. Luckily alpine includes ice/mixed so I can just keep that going year round without the major waterfalls in the summer. Today was pretty darn nice climbing weather though.

It's all climbing! Some times the desert's call is louder than the cold smoke's. I am 5 weeks into a 6 week hitch working underground at a mine in AK. Dreaming of alpine granite!

As long as you continue with style.

This time of the year...skiing in the morning and climbing in the afternoon!

I'm all for the power of a positive attitude, but rain and sleet on the Diamond aint my idea of a good time. One thing I'll give you that any weather is a good time for calling it a day and having a beer, so you may as well go attempt to do the climbing.

I can go for -15<T<25, with a 3 second approach and a comfy chair; some days though, those approaches can seem like 5, depending on the amount of liquid courage a given route requires.

But then again, I am a BAMF

most other days it's 78<T<80

"Good weather, bad weather. Anytime's good for climbing."
Quote from Eiger Sanction, said by the gungho climber to Clint Eastwood. I love that line!
Note to self: do not be a wiseass to Clint

do they climb to prove their manhood or is it a matter of compensating for inferiority feelings?

I always compensate with style, I'll have you know

(that other quote, along with Cush's, was actually said by the solid climber, Meyer)

Are you a BAMF on the kelvin scale?

Kelvin/metrics -- well I am indulged in obstetrics right now...

which only really means I can't measure dick.

So, I guess I do have my limits

I have no clue what you just said.

All we need to know, is that we don't; and it's all good.

I already knew that I knew nothing.
Does that make me a know it nothing?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
