With a crazy year for the climbing community coming to a close, just wondering what everyone is thankful for?

My wife, my friends, my health, my freedom to climb and live my life pretty much as I see fit.

That I finally found a job!

Life, family, friends, job, education, health….too many things to count. We take far too much for granted. Every day is a gift and I am trying to live each one to the fullest!

The future climber currently growing in my beautiful wife's belly. It doesn't get much better than that.

my family, my friends, the chance to be outside and get lost and finally find some chossy crag where I get sunburned and fall off everything, the freedom that is bought by the lives of those in the armed forces, turkeys I can eat, computers with unrestricted internet access, mountainproject, the chance(and freedom) to debate about issues such as global warming, un-government sponsored newspapers(for a little bit at least), good health care (ditto), the chance to make jackass remarks as the previous ones without fear of retaliation besides the verbal kind, that I live in one of the wealthiest nations in the world and I did absolutely nothing to be here, the world.

I'm thankful for all of it, family, friends, life, and the ability to climb as often as I do.

For my Jonny who is my partner in crime, my freedom, and good health, the people in my life who I love, and cherish, and whom I'll enjoy growing old with, my friends who laugh at all my jokes, and know me so well that they can practically read my mind, and laugh at every subtle expression I make, my early independence, and wild, and crazy life experiences that had made me wise, and stronger, my childhood over-exposure to Circus-Circus that warped my sense of humor ever so badly, working a variety of odd jobs in hard times in my teen years where I've met some of the most colorful people, from all walks of life, and where I had learned to be creative in ways to make a living, the world travels I've been fortunate to have experienced, and that get me excited to get out more, and for MP, and all the cool, and humorous MPers I have been lucky to meet so far!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thankful that the sun was shining in Penitente today and that my beautiful fiance and I had the canyon all to ourselves. And thankful for beer, of course.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
