We just lost power for a few minutes. We'll probably lose power for good in a few hours. Then no internet, no Mp.com, then what?!

There's a historically documented baby boom nine months after big storms.

I love how my bosses stay home due to the weather, then email me a hundred things to do so I can't leave... I'm busting my ass while they sit watching Scooby-doo with their kids!

Unfortunately, that leaves me with little excuse to slack off and decide to go cardboard-box sledding, play video games or read a book; instead of studying and getting my homework done. It's homework because it can be done at home! Even under candlelight. D'oh! Furthermore, if classes are canceled tomorrow, then that pretty much sucks because tuition is a sunk cost: I'm paying good money to be there! And there are no additional days built into the schedule for closures, so that just makes the rest of the semester's lectures that much more compressed. I never thought I'd say this, but BOOOOO SNOWDAY!

One of my friends called me about an hour ago while I was working on lab to suggest we go climb the Bastille crack. I thought he was kidding. Definitely wasn't. When I finished laughing he said he was going to call someone who wasn't such a debbie downer. Then I thought he meant he wanted to aid it. Nope, wanted to free climb it.

59 mph winds at Red Rock, so we're pretending it's a snow day in Vegas, and as we speak , we're playing pinball at Pinball Hall Of Fame. I'm out of quarters, and waiting for Jonny to get his fix of reliving his childhood. Gotta go; just found a quarter! This place is AWESOME!!!

Skiing down the driveway: 17" so far, though it seems to be letting up a bit (still snowing but smaller flakes):
