I'll be gunning for that onsight on Crack a Beer. I wouldn't mind showing up early to help rig too. This time I'llbe sure to remember my camera. Also, if you wanted to scope/clean/drill for possible moderate face lines, that sounds fun. let me know.

hell yeah, josh, thanks! i am already planning on hauling a bunch of crap up there, so might as well toss in the drill too ;)

you will hike the crack, trust me. may even be a little soft for 10+, but i only have been on it that one time.

If you guys can get out any earlier that day, I'm down for being a sherpa/pack mule.

I.e., I'll help carry loads, set anchors, or whatever, and we can still get back to meet folks coming circa 5.

I'm game to meet early too. Actually, I'm free all day...

From the sound of it, I think I'd like to try to lead this as well--see if I'm learning anything from these Tuesday night sessions. Josh, Wiled, Shawn, or anyone else, if you wanted to meet earlier and each lead it, let me know. That way we wouldn't tie up the route when others get there for the TR session.

I'm game to rig/clean/etc. for some new routes as well. Who knows, we might have another climb or two available by the time everyone else gets there.

Confession: I'm game to help with FA's, but I'm pretty broke. There are a number of lines I've been looking at around the Front Range, but I can't really afford the bolts. So if someone has the bolts, and wants help getting lines in, I'm happy to help with the labor but I'm afraid I can't contribute much to the cost of a route.

i will try to get out there early. my plan was simply to lead desiderata and leave two TR ropes off the anchor for each route.

i have a few bolts and hangers i dont mind contributing to new routes up there... i have already eyed a half dozen more potential routes up there, and it would be cool to get some collaboration.

Confession:(i guess you are all starting to see my ulterior motives for the CaB night idea...)

EDIT: ok, i will be there around 1.

Do you all have any plans for after the climbing? Gigi and I arrive Tuesday evening and might be passing through at about dinner time...

Shawn Mitchell · · Broomfield · Joined Mar 2008 · Points: 250

Woo hoo! More fun!

Is that middle America dinner time or Vegas dinner time? The Tuesday night OWs have been going till about 9 pm. That's around lunch time for you, right?

You bet. I'll buy...though it's ugly to imagine the damage an impaired Spidey could do.

Cool Adam. See you there.

Well, no promises yet. Depending on what time we depart Las Vegas, we might be passing through Golden around 8 or 9pm...

Ouch. Maybe you and Kat better reconsider that comedy thing.

Not to mention you need to settle on a species. This Horse and Spider thing mixes metaphors to the extreme.

Mixed Metaphor...not a bad route name.

YOu coward! Put that back up there!

Any of them likely to go on gear? I'm game if so... done my share of making do with what I can get in.

People will be sharing rides and carpooling and whatnot. Makes sense to have the beers somewhere closer to the point of convergence. Is there a good place near the mouth of the canyon?

EDIT: neigh.

Better than TameSpider.

Next Tuesday is sounding great. Stiff offwidth. Toprope hard face. Watch Horse and Bubb lead hard on manky gear.

Brunch with the Vegans. (I hope they eat meat)

Does it get any better?

looks likea cool area with plent of hard routes to try, new lines to inspect, and a wonderful looking OffWidth! I'd like to make a whole day of it. Anyone down for heading up in the morning while it's still cool, and staying the whole day?

Not for me, but for the afternoon folks, I'd like to bump the idea of carppoling from Savers.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
