Anyone want to climb at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison in the next month or so? I have never been there and would like to get on some of the classics(escape artist, comic relief, and possibly the scenic cruise).

Thanks

Scenic Cruise would be quite warm. It catches sun all day and you could find the rock hot to the touch. Escape Artist and Comic Relief face west and therefore have a longer period before the sun hits. The overall warmth of the place is right up there during the summer. Climbing activity starts ramping back up again in the late summer and fall. I was just there this past weekend and enjoyed 3 days of relative cool. That can happen anytime in the Rockies as I'm sure you know. Did the Southern Arete on the Painted Wall in early August once on the bet we had picked a cool cycle and cooked.
