Anyone thinking of heading up to Lumpy over the next week or so? I'm planning on backpacking up around the Estes Park area starting next Wednesday, but it would also be great to do some climbing. Ideally I would like to climb some of the classic longer routes on Sundance Buttress or the Book like Kor's Flake, Pear Buttress, J-Crack and Turnkorner, but I'm open to other ideas as well. I lead up to hard 5.10 and also am fine with doing most/all of the leading as long as you have multi-pitch experience and are safe. I don't have definite plans, so if you're interested let me know when you have free. Looking forward to hearing from some people.

Cheers,

Jason

Hey Jason,
I'll be on the front range for the next week and would be interested in going back to Lumpy (just got back from there two days ago!). I fly out to CA next friday night (29th) but would be willing to get out to Lumpy before then. The weather is suppose to be shitty, though...

You got me thinking of heading up to lumpy… I have wanted to get on Kor’s Flake for some time now. When it comes to trad, I am good leading up to 5.8, solid on building anchors, attentive belayer, and look forward to the exposure of long multi-pitch routes. With that said we could swap leads on Kor’s. If you’re leading hard five-ten, I will clean anything you put up. I have never climbed in this area, so if you are looking for someone that knows the route/area then I am NOT the partner you are looking for. I’m good for Saturday (30th) and if we don’t want the party to stop… we can rope up on Sunday (we can leave that TBD).

One more caveat… I don’t have a rack.

Thanks for the responses guys,I have found some partners for Lumpy, so I'm all set for now. If you're still in need of a partner I would do the obvious and keep checking the postings, or start your own, people are always looking to climb at Lumpy this time of year. Good luck

Jason
