As long as you are not trashing the place i.e. vegetation, landscape or dumping human waste on the ground. You are allowed to camp on any Public Land (BLM) for up to three months in any one location. If anybody tells you to move, you just have to stand up to them. If they know that you know the law, they will back down. Camping is consider "casual use" defined as minimal surface disturbance. |

You are not required to get any permits for "casual use" So unless you are doing something really wrong, you won't have any problems. Usually people that tell you otherwise, were probably doing something they shouldn't have been. Hahaha, so were do u camp when u come to red rocks? |

Actually, the limit for dispersed camping on BLM land is 14 days: |

I found this info regarding primitive camping on Doug's BLM link: |

thanks for everything so far. I'm learning some stuff and that's good. anyway, john is right. i need a few basics like electric, h2o, and bathroom access. love the idea of full fledged dirt bag again for a bit but, eventually i need to find a job and what not. trying to meet in the middle i guess. anyway, i appreciate the input so far. i'm sure something will turn up. |
