What is a good quickdraw to start out with, and what length should be considered?

I just need advice on some quickdraws (style, name brand, length) and how many to get. Again, I really appreciate the help from all of you as you have made my decision making a whole lot easier. :)

These look pretty good to me, I think I'm going to get them as my first set of quickdraws:

For trad I usually take my 15-20 cm draws with me, but I don't bring many. Normally I just buy quickdraws because they are often the same price as biners then take the biners off and put them on the 24inch runners...

Edit: I think the mad rock ones are an excellent value,

They don't come in different lengths though...

I decided to go with some Black Diamond Draws. Thanks for all the help!

If you plan on leading lines that are right at the edge of your ability, you may consider doing the every cam has it's own biner. method to racking. If you go with the BD C4's the colored set that BD sells really helps you get the right piece in a hurry. Racking this way has helped me from fumbling with gear while getting pumped trying to place. Not to mention that if you ever have any perfectly straight lines (i.e. Indian Creek) you don't always need a runner or even draws for your cam placements.

+1 to the long runners/doubling/tripling comment. I think my "tied" runners are more like 30" and I also have some sewn 24"s. I usually go for the longer ones. I also like the "tied" ones for alpine stuff because I have the option of donating them if I run out of webbing for rappels.

+1 to the "no daisy chain" comment. Just tie a clove hitch to a locking biner.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
