I'll bring a small sign with the old mountain project sticker on it to signify our table. It's just one big room anyway, so it should be easy to deduce who the climbers are: unshaven, wearing soft shells with Arc Terorix logos, blank stares, beer-in-hand.

The Bradbury Bros. have been alerted, as well as Erik. Kim can't make it, as she will be working that night.

I plan on dressing incognito in business clothes - just to throw off the MAN!

I stopped in today- McCabes. Let em know a climber group was having a get2gether. They are going to "hold/mark" a spot 4us, so first there snag it. I'll prob be there closer to 6:00ish, gotta bail by 8ish maybe(early Vday date??).

But Im stoked to meet evereyone!!

Oh, btw, the owner, Greg, said if it becomes kinda a regular thing...he would put together a "special" deal type meneu for us. Pretty cool if it becomes a ___monthly kinda thing...??

I'm a big fan of special deals at McCabes. Best Bangers and Mash in town. Not to mention the Crack sauce(horse radish whatever?), which comes with the fries.

I've got some fatherly duties that came up and I don't think I'm going to make it now. Maybe next time.

2hrs and counting people!!! We have a spot at McCabes and Mtn. Chalet-the BEST locals outdoor store in town- was kind enough to throw in some goodies for trivia/games! Sweet.

Whether you want to measure in people there or pitchers consumed is your call, but we have Hank, which means a large quantity of beer will be consumed.

We expect pictures... & will provide the same. No sandbagging by including servers.

Two words..... HELL and YEAH!!!!! What an AWESOME, AWESOME, beer night!!!! A great showing and sooooo much fun!!

1st- THANK YOU. To EVERYONE-SO MUCH- for coming and making it a success. From the old school to new, life long residents to the new arrivals, life long climbers and the new adventurous souls- it was awesome. The stories, experiences, tips, ethics, fun and laughs shared will be engrained in my head and most certainly set the bar for future events.

Second- THANK YOU McCabes!! Thumbz up on the service, the welcome atmosphere and the great food and beer! No one ever waited for a thing and all 25 of our checks were seperated w/o even asking. Nice that the bartender was a climber too!

Also, thank you Mtn Chalet- for sponsoring the event and all the schwag. Chain stores do suck and forever local will we all remain! Congrats to everyone who won and thanks to all for partaking in the trivia and games!

Two less glorified things-

RETURN THE PIGS!!!! They were kidnapped!?!?!?! Last seen doing a 69 double reverse snouter on the E. end of the table. There is a reward for their safe return!

And, DONT STICK STICKERS ON McCABES stuff please!! Nuff said...

And finally, thanks to all the non climbers and friends who came too. Our supporting peanut gallery was awesome and the hot "signifigant" others kept us well entertained w/ non climbing fun- LMAO

BOULDERITES- You can deliver our trophy anytime. We had 23-28 peeople(still have to do exact count, sign in Log is at home)and that doesnt include staff, two of which joined after work. More beer was consumed than I can remeber(Im still buzzed-really) and the fun, games, stories and laughs were Black Canyon epic!! The bar has already asked us back and is making a special "climbers night" menu and drinks specials. This inagrual event has definitley lit the fire and it will be hard matched to beat or put out.... Pics will be posted later today!!

Again, THANK YOU EVERYONE- the next one will be scheduled soon.

24 was the final count down there, I hear. Much like the number we had, but backwards. (42) which also happens to be the meaning of life.
No trophy will be necessary. You may visit our next get together and serve us beer.

In all seriousness, we should round a big one up in Denver. I can find a bar that will host us all in some room and give us a 'tender if we promise them 50+ people.

If we don't get 50+ can we just promise to drink like 50+ people?

You guys want a rematch? We're going again on the 10th...
YOu'd also be invited to caravan up and say "hello" over beers, which would be worthwhile if you come up early adn get some climbing in too...
