As one can see from Lee's photo, he always exhibits affection and respect for ALL of his climbing partners. See how he wines and dines his rope while propagandizing the cord with climbing videos? I can speak from first hand experience of Lee's charm and charisma. My wife is jealous of my relationship Lee, and for good reason. I always arrive home from a day cragging with Lee, grinning and stinking of beer.

OMG! 2349 views and 42 posts now to this thread: whodathunkit! The posts have been enlightening, sick, strange, beautiful, running the gamut from raunchy, to existential, to supportive. Now, you know that theory about 6-degrees of separation? Wikipedia sums it up nicely, Six degrees of separation refers to the idea that, if a person is one step away from each person they know and two steps away from each person who is known by one of the people they know, then everyone is an average of six "steps" away from each person on Earth. They don't say how long it would take to actually locate a particular person according to this theory however. It seems to me though, with all the folks involved in this thread my search is plausible! Since six degrees spans the globe I think that within a few degrees we should be able to find her in Colorado within my lifetime. The friend of a friend of a friend might just discover her, yes? So, ask your friends for me, ok? Oh, and regarding the post from England about my seeming lack of confidence, Women can sense insecurities with superhuman ability. Well, I think they have the same ability with respect to BS, and hes right about my insecurities related to finding/meeting herif I were confident I wouldnt have begun this thread, right? I don't hide my insecurity, BS alarms go off for sure, never been a player and never will . . .

I would not suggest lying, BS, or misleading people in general, and that's not my point. Approaching you situation with a "sixty year old me" attitude, isn't going to get you the caliber of women you seek. Especially if you looking for a woman around 45. Age doesn't matter anyway, it's all about how you feel. If your in the Springs area, the SCC gym(mid-day) has many of what you seek. Once again good luck, and if your in the Springs look me up, I will be happy to help.

I did not mean to suggest at all that you implied that I BS, lie, I just was making the point that I am kinda shy and no spring chicken. Fact is I was born in '49, will be sixty soon, and that seems to me to be a significant part of the picture. I feel real good to be within this MP tribe, reminds me of '67 - '77 when everything fit in the backpack, when the tribe i was part of averaged around a dozen souls, and at any one time someone would have a job, and we practiced Plate Tectonics (continental drift), living in the High Sierras, or the Coast Range, the Rockies, Dreamer's Canyon, the High Desert of AZ, the Smokey Mtns, Yosemite . . . living in tents, A-frames, TiPis, cabins, or funky rooming houses sometimes crashed on the floor like sardines between treks . . . and some of us even rambled around Europe and India . . . and relationships were maybe more fluid back then, perhaps more open, and life was simple and good, and we were stone broke and free . . . and so now here is this MP tribe and i put it out here that i am looking for a companion, and i don't know what might happen, but another dude posts that showing up is 90% of it, so I am showing up here like this, just hanging out here, kinda like unfurling my sails and seeing which way the wind may take me . . .

It can, and will happen. My friend Jimmy Dunn has a wife in her early 40's, and a 3 year old son with her. You two are the same age. There's some hope to hold on to.

Kateri, your Indian Creek gear pic cut six months of my life expectancy. If my pulse doesn't moderate soon, it'll be 12.

Are bald/balding dudes sexier? (could be we're no longer subjecting ourselves to the "peacock factor" -- we're losin it and it don't matter! -- proud "associate member" of Lee's Harem btw) Lee, maybe it's time to get some leathers for the riding club.

Once again I refer to the Urban Dictionary: "Stuffing is when a girl lies about her boobie size and stuffs them with tissue." Screw that! It's not the boobie size that matters - it's the RACK size that's important! Tony, you just had ACL surgery. What do you need your cams back for? Oh, never mind, we don't need to know. Um, Richard, sorry this post is going "kinda" downhill.

Kateri, regarding your post "Um, Richard, sorry this post is going "kinda" downhill." I'm enjoying every post, kind of amazed it is still alive. I had a wonderful weekend retreat at the Shambhala Mountain Center up at Red Feather, practicing Buddhist meditation, and it turns out there is some pretty good rock up there too, so next time I go up I will take my shoes and some gear and work my way up a face in between sessions. Regarding female companion: maybe one day she will come along; and until then, abiding in peaceful sitting, climbing with my grown up kids whenever they can make it. It's a pretty sweet life after all. Hip me to a friend of a friend if you think of one. . . thanks to everyone, the thread has been fun, and I am ever the optimist . . .
