Man this thread got ugly - Those kids from Laramie are giving the whole town a bad name - no wonder the BD reps treated that kid the way they did...If he was as rude in person as he is on this site he probably (read definitely) deserved what was coming to him...over priced gear or not.

From the way Webe and AR are talkin' S##t it seems to me they have spent WAYYYYYYY too much time in the sun cookin' their brains and hallucinating. Black Diamond (the climbing company) makes gear that isn't cheap, that's for sure but I do like the way their C3s stop me when I go flying through the air or how their cams stay together in dangerous situations when other gear like A###ns fail. I don't mind paying a little extra $$$ for that. Besides the head of BD gear was a bad-ass climber in his day and I like supporting a company that continually makes cutting-edge stuff. Now can we move on and talk about something more interesting?

This sums up what a GREAT company Black Diamond is and also that this cyber reality that we so like to bash actually has very real implications on real life situations and feelings.

One of the head honchos at BD takes the time to reach out to a disgruntled customer. To find out the problem and try to get some resolution so it doesn't happen again in the future. I think this small comment here is very telling.

As far a price is concerned pay more get more. Whne it comes to my life cheaping out doesn't seem like a good idea. I love BD!
