South Platte

So I think I get it! |

Shhhh....That was the most cars I have seen at the pullout ever. The rock does suck, the hikes are long ( and STEEP!). |

Oh how I miss the platte, too much eldo lately. just be careful at turkey rocks or the bucksnort slab as you might actually have to wait in line and you know the rock isn't even close to worth the wait ;) if solitude is your thing check out A-hole rock or Da butts, or the castle but the approach for those is not quite as easy as turkey rocks or the bucksnort. Cardiac crack is a pure joy, can't wait for the central corner and the center route only to mention a few. |

No balogna. The approach to the Castle is killer diller. It's difficult to avoid private land and the last several hundred feet of hike is plagued with granite gravel that feels like hiking in snow. No one will be up there, rest assured. |

yes climbing in the Platte is the worst in Colorado, definitely... that's what i would say if it were true. long approaches, run out climbs on janky bolts? isn't that what makes climbing so awesome? id have to say yes |

raptor closures just make the prize that much better after the wait, and private property means you just get to meet more people :) |

Java Dome/Bali Dome experience: treacherous approach to base (bouldering with rock crumbling under hand and foot) for indiscernable routes, which had chopped bolts and anchors, and major run out on exfoliating rock. (Pete Hubbel said: there's a bolt war in the area.) |

Sorry, we have a hard time keeping that fence around Boulder, but sometimes they escape and find their way down South. We are working on this "malicious attack". |

I will have to agree with Ken on this one. Let's revoke that Plattenum card. There were 10 cars at Cathedral Spires today. Not sure if it has anything to do with this thread but you have to wonder. |
