Dennis Luther

On Sunday, Oct. 7th at around 2:30pm, Dennis Luther, 54, fell accidentally from 200 feet up while cleaning and equipping a new climb above Cirrhosis on the North side of the cliff. According to authoritities, Luther was pronounced dead at the scene.

Luther was a regular at Poke-O and an active first-ascentionist.

I send my best thoughts, wishes and sympathies to whomever he has left behind, I sure this has been a terrible blow.

It is sad to me that accidents like this happen, and I only hope that something can be learned by this accident.
