I'm hoping to be in the Teton's over Memorial day. Does anyone have an idea what some of the ice couloirs are like right now. Specifically I'm hoping to climb the NW Ice couloir on the Middle and the Enclosure couloir.

Thanks

Bump it up since I'm interested in current conditions too, especially Symmetry Coulior, Middle Teton Glacier and East Ridge of Buck. If anyone knows (or can guess) the snow conditions up there, please post up or shoot me an email.

Looks like night time lows have been above 32F at 10K for awhile. Good consolidation? Snowpack normal, low, high, gooy and still moving?

Typically, the couliors won't have any ice in them in May. We did the north ridge of the Middle on 23 July last summer, and got a good look at "Harry's Highway" (the NW Coulior). Very low to no ice in it, but, still some snow. Maybe a few feet of ice up high near the top, but, almost looked like neve. Was some ice in the gully running up across the dike cutout on the North Ridge that was easily side stepped. But, that seemed like the only alpine ice we saw.

Actually, just pulled up the pic of it I took, and looks like a patch or two of alpine ice maybe. Could post it if you like.

Sometimes a local weather cam will give an idear of snowpack. Be cool to have one in the mouth of Garnet Canyon...

Thanks Brian. It would be fun to climb some couloirs but it may be better to bring skis, or, stay low and climb in Death Canyon. The Snaz would be sweet.

There's so much to do there we might have to come loaded for bear and be ready for anything.

Just spoke with a guy from one of the local shops. His buddy is attempting the BIC right now. I'll let you know if I find anything out from him when he gets back.

Peace.
