Vegas locals are always warm, and open to out of towners, and new arrivals. That's what I love most about this city.

Welcome to Vegas!

Aw Damn it all Giggette you are not going to be there. I wanted to meet you too. I always dig being around folks with such obvious passion for climbing and the outdoors. Now I may not come at all, sorry Jorge. I was gonna give him a pony now I will have to make glue. Nah, just kidding. Maybe we could do beer night at your work site. It sounds like more than a few of us may fit in nicely.

Phil, I'll come on my dinner break, and I'll put you on 1:1 observation at arm's length with me for the safety of self, and others, just because I like you. The others can be on full view while awake, and Q15 minute checks while asleep or passed out under the tables. Anyone that has not displayed any physical or verbal aggression towards self or others, and is not suicidal will be discharged from Sierra Gold, as long as they are not intoxicated. If intoxicated they will be sent via taxi to the nearest rehab center. After discharge they will be visited by the mobile crisis team.

Here's Phil's orders from doctor while at Sierra Gold:
Place on 1:1 observation at arm's length with Gigette Miller
If violent, place on 2:1 with male mental health staff, Angell, and Barney.
May have a big hug, and a kiss on the cheek X 1 only.
May eat with peers at table at arm's length at staff discretion.

Me and my circus will also be in Vegas for the weekend. Unfortunately, it sounds like Gigette is working and her lunch break is already tied up on a 1:1 basis. Not to say that the rest of you aren't just swell but for me it's all about Gigette.

With that, count us out...maybe next time.

p.s. where did you decide? Cheeseburger or Sierra Gold?

I called Sierra Gold and had them set aside some tables for us. Whoever shows up first, the reservation is under "Red Rock Climbers".

The location is right down the street from me and you can count me in! I will get there right around 6pm. It will be nice to be on the same side of the bar with you.

C U ALL This Sunday!

My sincerest apologies to the 'beer night' attendees for my not making it. I swear I am not a tease. I really wanted to be there. I just kinda got wrapped up in a late night high angle rescue and heli-vac short roping of a fractured hip and pelvis victim. I am sure the details will get around soon enough. Suffice it to say all is now well! Again, I am sorry I missed it and hope to make one some day.

Phil,
I came on my dinner break just to see you, and I almost brought my co-workers Angell, and Barney, but they wouldn't fit in my car. We had a big cake that read, "Welcome to the Vegas Locals' Night Phil, You Are A Star!", that a local sport climber was going to jump out of. Damn we forgot to tell him you didn't arrive; I hope he's okay.

Anyway, glad things are all right now. Maybe next time!

Oh....I forgot to mention that Jonny wasn't anywhere near the accident site with his bad luck camera. There are witnesses to say he was at the locals night. Although....he did arrive a little late.

What were the details of this accident? I was at the Wall of Confusion when we noticed the helicopter and EMS guys show up to the first pullout.

Sorry I missed the beer night. Hopefully next time... =(

Drove home late Sunday afternoon after a 4 day weekend.

Should have stayed to meet for a beer - it took almost 45 minutes just for me to get over the Damn Dam.

How were the festivities?

~Susan

p.s. We saw a ton of EMS vehicles fly by down the loop but after climbing never saw them again. Hope all is well for the injured party.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
