Beer on a Sunday?
|
As a professional brewer in Boulder, I have to admit, Utah is pretty devoid in the outstanding beer category. There are a couple of good brews (Full Suspension, Polygamy Porter to name two), but typically you are stuck drinking thin, watery, unimpressive, lightweight renditions of world famous styles. From my experience, a night of pitchers only results in having to piss a lot and getting sleepy. (And you have to smell cigarette smoke the entire time, too.) |

Gotta love that bootlegging feeling...Man I miss me some Old Chub...I'll be bootlegging some of that along with some other fine 'Rado brews next weekend, oh yeah! Anybody like chinese? Long Life Veggie House is killer... everywhere else I've tried around here is sub-standard imo. any suggestions? |

Wow, now I understand why Jean was raving about the info she got on this thread for our trip! She was a great "brew & food" guide for us (not to mention doing some great leads on the rock). Thanks to everyone for helping to add to our climbing trip. |

"i like wasatch pizza for delivery, but in general like the other two i mentioned way better." |

It is a shame what the Mormoms have done with your state. I usually visit friends in SLC a couple of times a year and when I do, I bring about 15 cases of my stuff in the back of my truck. Gotta love that bootlegging feeling...Well said |

andria clare wrote: Low alcohol Beer defined as 3.2% alcohol by weight or 4% by volume can be purchased at most Grocery stores, and convenience stores in Utah. in Salt Lake County selling alcoholic beverages allowed from 7:00 a.m. until midnight other areas of Utah policies might vary. if you have any plans to bring beer into Utah you should drop it, because only Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (DABC) import alcoholic beverages into Utah. individuals shouldn't import or transport hard liquor, spirits, wine, and beer. if you want to have anything light Bud Light Mang-O-Rita is the best option. The best crossover that balances the flavors of margarita lime, juicy mango, and beer. check mangorita prices and order online or visit your near convenience stores or food markets have a great Sunday! 10/10 :) lol thanks for the deets on the brews 14 years later |

This account has 3 post and all three sound like they were written by a cheap AI bot. Edit to clarify: andria is the suspected bot, not Sam Golden |

Also outdated info...we now have 4% by weight, 5% by volume beer in our grocery and convenience stores. |

Grandpa Dave wrote: Sure. Up to 5% ABV. |

Samuel Bona wrote: I mean, I am not going to lie, I was a little disappointed that they got rid of 3.2% ABV beer, though Stella is still 3.2% and most uintas are 5% which means that a lightweight like me can still enjoy one without getting buzzed. Just to clarify, it was 3.2% ABW, which is 4% ABV. The Uinta brews sold in other than the state liquor stores are all 5% ABV. |
