Description Suggest change

Elijah Rock at the Kinzua is a sun-soaked summer destination, often crowded with people swimming and jumping from the rock into the deep plentiful water below, making it an ideal spot for water soloing. The climb begins on the left-most side of the graffiti-covered face, where climbers traverse sharp crimp holds across the mossy rock, though the traverse is only the beginning—the true route starts beneath the nose of the formation, where the climber pulls upward toward the front-facing summit of the rock. Still being projected as of 05/12/2026 and yet to see a full ascent, the line remains heavily covered in moss and will need thorough brushing before a successful climb can be completed, while the constant sunlight keeps the wall warm throughout the day.

Getting There Suggest change

From Elijah Run Boat Ramp, cross the road to the concrete path beside the guardrail and follow it for roughly one-third of a mile as the trail winds along the shoreline. As the benches and trees begin to disappear, the path opens up to reveal a massive rock formation known as Elijah Rock rising prominently from the water.
