Description Suggest change

This little wall sits well below Cathedral Rock. It holds 9 routes ranging from 5.5 to 5.10b. The wall is very accessible & makes for a great family day, short 1/2 day, or a stop along the way to or from other walls. Morning sun with some mixed shade from trees, afternoon shade.

All anchors are fitted with pear-shaped quick links for easy anchor building & lower-offs for easy cleaning. Please do not TR on fixed gear, or lower on fixed gear if someone else in your party is leading. Only the last person should use the lower-offs.

LNT: The wall is right off a popular hiking trail & close to the road. Be respectful to other users.

There were two previous anchors from a different era. Feel free to share info about these routes.

Getting There Suggest change

Two options:
1. Park on the shoulder of NV 157 (Kyle Canyon Rd) at either the big dirt turnout or the smaller dirt turnout 200' further. Cross the road and hike up the hillside. Stay a bit high to join the well trodden Little Falls Trail. Follow the trail left / east for a few minutes. The wall will be visible up and right and is the first chunk of stone you come to. This is my preferred approach unless you need a bathroom. 5 minute approach.

2. Park at the Cathedral Rock Trailhead. Take the trail west out of the smaller, lower lot. Stay a bit high on the best trail (passing the wall above you) until you join up with the Little Falls Trail at a switchback. Cut back left and the wall is right there. Please do not shortcut the trail even though you will pass the wall. It's a 5 minute approach.

There is a small but well defined trail heading up to the wall from the Little Falls Trail at a leaning pine tree.
