Description
This is the huge ~500' tall cliff band that runs north paralleling the Finger rock trail at about the 1.8 --2.5 mile range and can be seen from Tucson. Maybe this is where Trials and Tribulations is? The cliff is predominately West facing with a few aspects that catch more or less sun.
Getting There
Park at the Finger Rock Trailhead and take the Finger Rock Trail. At about 1 hr, you will pass Little Big Horn. After another 15 or so minutes you'll reach the right side of the Mohawk as a heavily treed area appears on the right side of the trail. A cairned climber trail cuts off here that can be used to access the Eroder and Ranger Danger sections of the cliff. Follow the base of the cliff to your desired route. Routes on Billy Goat Bluff are best accessed from further up trail. Total approach time ~90 minutes, 2,000' of gain, 2ish miles, with all but the last 10 minutes or so on trail.
