Description
A large, eccentrically shaped boulder comprised of mostly coarse granite and the occasional schist feature that sits unassumingly in the forest. Rock quality is generally good, aside from the east face and somewhat ricey golden section of the north face. The north face features a prominent natural bowl that serves as the simplest down-climb (~V0), along with distinctively shaped incut crimps. The west face is initially overhung and contains a schist “satellite” feature.
Getting There
Park at a two car pullout about 200 yards downhill (north) from where the bypass road meets the main highway. Directly across the road from the parking, follow the old logging road west. Follow the road for about 200 yards as it curves north. There's are two somewhat large tree stumps that make a "gateway" to the west. Hike westward from here about 100 yards until the boulder comes into view.
