Access Issue: Patchwork of Public and Private Property Details

USDA Forest Service Land with small blocks of private property. Please be mindful of this and treat all areas with respect. If you cross onto private property be extra courteous or don’t climb there at all.

Description

Boulders along ridge above Sheets Run Road. A good collection of boulders and several high quality problems. Mainly a bushwhacking area. Just know where you are because this is a patchwork of private and public lands. We may not be welcomed on the private property parts.

Getting There

Park at Forest Service gate across Route 7 at the entrance of Sheets Run Road. Cross the road and walk up the dirt road a short distance to an ATV trail on right. This is an unofficial trail. Hike up hill to the first set of boulders.

Some boulders can be accessed from parking along Sheets Road and hike uphill to sub areas.
