Description
The Dome is a round-topped outcrop less than 1/2 mile north as the crow flies from Carney Crag. This South-East facing wall gets good early sun and offers good views from the top. Abundant cracks offer many trad lines. A great option for days when Carney Crag is busy.
Getting There
Drive down Carney Lake Road (as you would to approach Carney Crag). 400 feet after the Pine Creek bridge, turn left (north) to follow the ORV trail. Follow the trail as it veers right at the next intersection. You will see the Dome on your left 1/4 mile after the intersection. Continue another 400 feet to a parking pullout on your left. Hike back down trail to approach base of Dome at a large boulder with rocks stacked on it. 2-3 minute walk.
