Description Suggest change

This 11308', as identified on the USGS topo, is the northern most high point on the north ridge of Mount Morrison (11,367'), not to be confused with the other 11308' further south in the Lost River Range. The Morrison complex is west of Mount Idaho, separated by Cedar Creek. 11308' might be one of the most photographed mountains in the LRR as its massive triangular rock slab northeast face is the backdrop in almost every picture of hikers ascending the SW Ridge on Borah Peak. Two mixed rock and ice routes, The White Line Couloir and the Pipeline, are located on the southwest face. Additionally, some known ski history includes the north chute, west chutes and southwest couloirs. The northwest ridge offers a long and scenic ridge scramble.

Getting There Suggest change

Whiskey Springs and Cedar Creek off of US 93 are generally the best access points for 11308'.
