Description Suggest change

Three towers of "mostly" quality conglomerate rock on a wide saguaro filled plain in the Sonoran Desert. The sounds of Gambel's Quail, Cactus Wrens, Gilla Woodpeckers and Phainopeplas can be heard below as you marvel at the grand view. This is the largest and most southernly of the three tightly grouped towers in this formation known as Locomotive Rock.

Getting There Suggest change

Just off Darby Well Road outside of Ojo on BLM road 8113A. Drive up the road past many fine campsites to the end where parking is found. A short trail leads to the east side of the south tower (See map).
