Description Suggest change

Wide open views and easy access make this a pretty cool spot. hike up the hill to the teardrop shaped rock above and go for it. area is still being developed, so some bushwhacking will be happening for a while.

Getting There Suggest change

(coming from the little sahara side, make a left off the main weiss highway and go up over the pass in between the two halves of desert mountain. as youre coming down the other side, make a right at the ending corner of a fenceline. follow the road until you can turn left, up, over, and then down into the little valley and the route will be on the right. a circle firepit and a dirt road roundabout under the rock face makes it visible from a ways away. a short hike and easy to bring a big camper as long as its not muddy.  The rock has a very distinctive shape, and can probably be seen from the main desert mountain pass road. I was able to see the main road from campsite and a hilarious view of the powerplant south of there.
