Description
Painstake Rock has short granite cliffs offering good after work cragging in the shade or morning sun before work. This is a close, less greasy option with more moderates for up and coming leaders.
Getting There
From I-70, head south on US 24 past Red Cliff to Homestake Rd. Go 0.5 miles down the road passing a campground on your left, cross a one lane bridge, and park on the bend in a pulloff on the right as the road turns left. There is some good camping if you continue past the bend and take the next turn in on your right.
