Description Suggest change

/prəˈsēnēəm/

the part of a theater stage in front of the curtain.

This crag is at a secluded and aesthetic, 16 meter high cliff situated above a small terrace on the south end of the main cliff of Behemoth. This is an East facing wall with excellent morning sun. Not recommended for those visiting with dogs (see approach notes). There are currently 10 routes from 5.6 to 5.11c.

Note: There is a rap anchor at the N end of the ledge from which you can reach the valley floor to access the main Behemoth buttress.

Getting There Suggest change

From the North parking lot, take the Canoe Trail and then the Middle Trail to the north end of Riley Rock. Continue South, passing between Terry’s Face (on the right) and Riley Rock (on the left). Approximately 200 metres beyond Terry’s Face, as the short wall on the left (east) side of the trail ends, leave the main trail and take a faint trail left (east). Continue East past the clean face on your left (Cipher Wall) to the edge of a canyon. Locate a handline on the left (North) and use it to traverse an exposed ledge across to a larger ledge and the start of the climbs.
