Description Suggest change

Sector 3-6-9 is a stunning granite area tucked high on Old Stage Road. Sun and shade can be found amongst the twisting landscape, from low along Rock Creek to high on the ridges and summits. The bouldering has been developed over the past 15 years by a small crew of Springs climbers, and enough time spent in the area will reveal relics of some of the original Colorado climbing pioneers. This page will be updated to eventually display all subareas - more than 100 problems.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive past the Broadmoor to Old Stage Road. Drive 5.9 miles to Road 369, on the left. Here you'll also find the Old Stage Riding Stables (an awesome post climb stop!). Take Road 369 to the left of the Riding Stables' driveway. Continue 0.8 miles past private property to a small pullout on the right that is able to accommodate 2-3 vehicles. Please do not block road, as it is the access road for the antenna farm atop Cheyenne Mountain. If small pullout is full, the suggested parking is back in the large pullout across Old Stage Road from the entrance to the stables.

The road to this area is steep, unpaved, and especially in winter requires careful driving and 4 wheel drive.
