Description Suggest change

Salmon Creek Falls is a collection of huge water polished and lichen encrusted boulders surrounding the creek. The boulders are composited of dacite which is similar to andesite and rhyolite, but containing more silica and alkali oxides. The boulders nearest the creek are obviously smoother and more water polished while those further up the hill are rougher and more lichen and moss covered.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive north on Hwy 1 from San Simeon toward Ragged Point. Salmon Creek Falls is 3.5 miles north of Ragged Point. Park on the north side of the creek just beyond the bridge.
