Description
Technical hiking and scramble area in and around the creek bed. The waterfall is 1/8th of a mile upstream from the Guide Wall parking area. For the integrity of the area, stick to talus, boulders, fallen trees, and other hard points. Minimize time on soft ground. Do no form new paths because you will cause erosion. This is the Mon National Forest, so it's free for all to explore, but do not degrade the area. There are rare woodland wildflowers, reptiles, land snails, and other things here. For your safety, please use good judgement in the stream bed. Streams run incredibly fast in Appalachia, intermittently.
