Description
A newly discovered area for the climbing world, this tranquil area is along the North Branch Peme Bon Bon River. There are a few rock faces in development in this area, with a lot of potential for bouldering, top rope, and possibly trad. The area is on Marinette County and Forest land and is open to the public, but know where you stand as there is some private land sprinkled into these large tracts of public land. All currently natural anchors, but working to find out if bolts or anchors can be legally installed to open the opportunity for sport. Expect some bushwacking as this area is just now being looked at for climbing, and trails are limited.
Getting There
From HWY141/US-8 about 6 miles north of Pembine, WI take Morgan Park Rd east past Smalley Falls and Longslide Falls(You will see brown and white county signs for these parks). Follow this road for about 3.5 miles until a big bend where you will see a sign for Morgan County Park. Take a left here onto Spike Horn Rd. This is an unpaved road and during wet times might be in need of AWD or 4WD but is usually fine for most cars. Take this road for about a mile. You will take a right onto Bull Dam Rd heading south a half mile. There will be a little pull off area on the right side with enough room to park a couple of cars. If you continue down Bull Dam Rd, keep an eye out for other boulders or rock faces as there are some more around.
