Climbing & Bouldering!Day use fee is just $5 per person, children 12 and under free!
Camp for $25 per vehicle per night, +$20 for electric and WiFi access.

Do not climb during Deer Season and/or Turkey season. In other words, no climbing from Nov 1st through Dec 1st or April 15th through May 5th. There are many hunters in the surrounding properties.

Rules and Description

Astral Valley is an art park, rejuvenation center, music Venue, and showcases limestone bouldering and sport climbing. Please respect the area. The land owners are kind souls willing to offer climber only year round access because they KNOW YOU WILL RESPECT THEIR WISHES AND THEIR LAND. PLEASE DO NOT MESS THIS UP FOR EVERYONE. This CLIMBING Area was discovered by Anthony Burns as a part of Eastern Missouri Climbers Association (EMCA). See more in 'history' below.

You must follow these rules:

Do not climb during Deer Season and/or Turkey season. In other words, no climbing from Nov 1st through Dec 1st or April 15th through May 5th. There are many hunters in the surrounding properties.
Access is from sunrise to sunset. Do not stay after dark.
You must sign a waiver and pay the small admission fee.
You must have a partner for any type of climbing. This includes bouldering.
You must be prepared to self extract. CLIMB AT YOUR OWN RISK! This is a self service location. The owner is not responsible for your injury or helping you get your car out and off the lot
Do not climb without proper equipment. Do not climb here if you do not have enough pads. You will get hurt. You will cause abrasion with the owners that may cause us to lose access. The rock is very sharp and the ground can be uneven.
Do not climb on the cave, the artwork, or climb beyond the roped off area.
Do not drive off path and do not cross the rocky creek. Follow the guidelines for every crag at Astral Valley so that you do not have to bother the owner.
All pets must be on leash.

History

Astral Valley's rock climbing was found by Anthony Burns while attending a music festival. He knew this area would be great for both beginner and experienced climbers. Development started in Nov 2023 supported by Eastern Missouri Climbers Association (EMCA). emclimbers.com
