Description Suggest change

The best crag near Wuhan with plenty 5.12 (and up) classics. Being a small crag, many routes are polished but still great to climb on, safely bolted with good anchors (open shuts or openable quicklinks). It is developed and maintained by a tight-knit community of friendly climbers. Solid limestone climbing, slight to big overhangs from 5.9 -5.14. Main wall is shady, while the (newly developed) sunny wall has some multipitches and easier routes.

Getting There Suggest change

It is located in Xianning(咸宁), one hour train/car south from Wuhan, and another 40 min drive southward to Mingshuiquan Tourist Area (鸣水泉景区),an abandoned tourist area that no longer requires entry fee or has any visitors. From the "tourist center", take the bridge to the right (with the reservior to the right, and dried swimming pools to the left), drive the switchback paved road for 5 min before reaching the parking (of a temple), park and walk (1 min) to behind the temple up stairs, and you are surrounded by the walls and a pavilion in between them.
