Description
The is a large crevasse, crack or "cave" formed by a massive boulder that split away from the main cliff face creating steep and dramatic walls as you walk through it. As you walk into this cave area it opens up with climbing on the main face to the right and to the left on the large boulder face. A large dark bouldering cave exist deep into the crack to the left. This area was named by Chris Marley.
Getting There
Follow the blue blazed trail past the Needleseye boulders, over the creek and back up towards the large main face, continue on the blue trail paralleling the main cliff, eventually coming to the dramatic "cave" entrance of the Lions Den. Approximately 1/4 mile hike from the Needleseye boulder to the Lions Den.
