Description
Sunny steep featured granite in the forest that somehow avoided the Hayman Fire. This area is a catch all for the series of formations North of Westcreek on the east side of Thunder Butte. Lots to explore and develop here for the intrepid climber.
Technical face climbing is king at Brown Town but good trad/mixed climbs are around with some clear multi potential up at Uluru.
Getting There
Several dozen minutes of sustained exertion. There is almost no service on the hike, research the map and download the approach guide well beforehand. Brown Town is the current destination crag and jumping off point for all others, see those pages for more details.

It is about 1.1 miles with 1000' gain (650' in the latter half). Expect 45-60 minutes onsight, 35-45 minutes after knowing it. Budget for a brisk 25-35 minutes going down.
Feel free to add cairns, logs or anything else to aid future travelers. I tried many ways, but this final way was the least miserable at the cost of some difficult routefinding.
Season
Much of the hike can be socked in by snow, which is unfortunate given that most of the walls face south.
Late spring afternoons and crisp Fall days tend to be the best times for here. 50-65F in Deckers with clouds is perfect here. Dingo Domes are the most accessible and sunny walls. They are a good back up if it’s cold. Emu Tor and the East face of Uluru gets shade first around 1.
