This area describes ice, mixed, and snow routes on Mount Kennedy (13,136') in the Weminuche Wilderness.

Getting There Suggest change

Mount Kennedy is located deep in the Weminuche Wilderness. Access is as for Chicago Basin via the D&SNGR or the Purgatory Flats trail (#511) to Needleton. From the junction of the Purgatory trail and the Needle Creek trail (#504), head south on the Needle Creek trail (towards Chicago Basin) for 4 1/3 miles until it passes below the prominent north buttress of Mount Kennedy. Camps can be made near the trail here.
