These rock formations overlap on the Gila River Indian Community. Climbing is not permitted on their sovereign territory. Please be respectful of the tribal land so that their community does not have to complain to the City of Casa Grande about climbers on the Casa Grande side of the park.
Description
Tucked inside Casa Grande itself, there are some rough granite rock formations in North Mountain Park. Easy to find. Fun to climb. Drive up, park, and start climbing.
Important Notes:
- Watch out for Gila monsters and bee hives in cracks.
- North Mountain Park park closes at sunset.
- Camping is allowed only by permit.
- See map of routes (below). Area in blue is off limits to climbing.
