Description Suggest change

Large series of surprisingly undeveloped sandstone pillars located at the very northern tip of North Fork Mountain. The rock formations here, as with much of the River Knob/Seneca area, are strange and spectacular. The rock is not perfect but the quantity of potential climbing is obvious. If you can pick through the unreliable stretches of rock to find the solid ones there is a great amount of interesting climbing here. Sandstone can make some truly amazing rock features!

The trail and climbing area also has absolutely phenomenal views of the North Fork valley and mountain.

Getting There Suggest change

Park at the North Fork Mountain trailhead off Smoke Hole Canyon Rd. Take the trail for ~2 miles until you reach an unmarked footpath that leads off to the right (west). A couple more minutes on the (steep!) footpath and you are at Chimney Top.
