Mount Lady Washington is a (now) unranked 13'er (13,277') in Rocky Mountain National Park. After LiDAR readings for the area were processed, Mount Lady Washington was classified as unranked with 279' of prominence. This mountain is located in the cirque around Chasm Lake along with Mt. Meeker and Long's Peak. Typically, the peak is accessed by a Class 2 route on the east or west side of the mountain, but there also exits other routes to the summit that provide more of a challenge. The most common route on MLW besides the Class 2 routes is the Camel's Gully downclimb often used by Diamond climbers to return to Chasm Lake.

Getting There Suggest change

The hike to Mount Lady Washington starts at the Long's Peak Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park. About 3 miles from the trailhead, you reach the Chasm Lake junction. All of the more technical routes that climb MLW start from the south side of the mountain in the Chasm Lake junction. From the Chasm Lake junction, take the Chasm Lake trail for approximately 1 mile to reach Chasm Lake. From here, you can access the south side of Mount Lady Washington.
