Description Suggest change

While the Upper Boulders Trail may become more known for its bouldering, there are some new ropes route options as well.
Sunny and secluded. Short routes with usually easy TR set ups. Mix of trad and sport. More potential for other routes. More beta via CCC.

Getting There Suggest change

PLEASE stay in existing trails.
Expect 1.4 miles on the new CCC trail. From the parking lot, walk the main loop trail until the split. . Head right on the Loop Trail for about 3/4 mile until you are at the north eastern most point in the loop trail. Take a right on the newly constructed and signed Upper Boulders Trail, which passes boulders in about a half mile, shortly after a pretty stream with new bridges crossing it. Keep walking on the trail uphill past some boulders to the first wall. Walk left from the first cliff to get to the other boulders and mini cliffs. The first boulders are about 1.1 miles from the parking lot and the cliff is maybe 1.4 miles from the parking lot. NOTE: Carolina Climbers Coalition are looking into different access points. Stay tuned at carolinaclimbers.org
