Much of the surrounding area is private property with public trail access, but GLR was donated to IRLC back in the early 2000's which gives it free reign in terms of public access to hunting, as well as climbing.
Description
A collection of outcroppings and boulders within 100-500 feet of the road. Diverse range of styles, heights, quality, and cleanliness in a small area.
Getting There
This area is between the first and second parking lots. Park in the second lot (butterfield lake landing trail parking lot). Travel (south) on the road in the opposite direction of the North Ridge trail. As the road turns left and uphill, cut straight into the woods. After 100 feet you will find the “Manitee Boulder” and be looking at the face climb “Speed Bump”. This marks the start of the “Sea Side” area.
