Access Issue: Neighborhood Parking Details

Please be mindful of the neighbors on Big Rock Lake Road. Do not park along the road, generate excessive noise in the parking lot or at the cliff, or camp out. If the parking is full, use the spot at the intersection of Preston McDaniel and Nine Times Roads. This is a neighborhood, drive slow and be courteous. Violating one of these rules is an easy way to get the cliff shutdown for everyone.

Description

The Game Face provides two moderate routes to playfully pass the time, or to warm up if waiting for routes on Main Wall. Shady belays and mostly shady routes until the very top. A nice little fallen tree makes for a decent belay seat. Both routes start on the obvious flake and end at the same anchors. Many will want a 0.4 cam (bomber!) for the ledge at the shared start, but it's not required. Otherwise just bolts on this face. Some potentially loose rock at the top is bypassed by staying on route.

Getting There

Easy to find, this small face is actually the backside of the Featureless Twin tower where Shadow Boxing is located. Head to the Main Wall. From the easily identifiable large chimney of Pickin' on the Fat Kid, turn 180 degrees, look left, and the face is easily visible adjacent the trail to the base of the Featureless Twins.
