At the end of the old world, a peninsular land bounded by dramatic sea cliffs exists. Both long trad routes and techy sport abounds. 'Fortaleza,' a spit of land with a mighty historic fortress guarding it's entrance, gives one access to impressive walls such as 'New Redoubt' (below the old cannon battery) and 'Pleasure Ledges' among others. One peninsula east is Baileera, where classics like 'Pooh Corner' and 'Pequeno Yosemite,' reside. With the charming little surfer town of Sagres as your basecamp, you'll adventure-climb by day and party by night...all at the Mediterranean pace.
