Much of the surrounding area is private property with public trail access, but GLR was donated to IRLC back in the early 2000's which gives it free reign in terms of public access to hunting, as well as climbing.
Description
A secluded, open section of forest with some very nice boulders. Potential for very hard stuff, but plenty of casual rock to go around. This area also has massive low roofs with rounded top outs. Very beautiful and very hard.
Getting There
Take the same trail as everything else, go past the bowling alley, take the major right turn with the trail. Before the “sunbathing rock” sign, take a hard right into the forest. From here, trend rightward following the contour of the hill for 3-5 minutes. Cross 1 small wet section and follow the cliff line as it because larger. The cliff splits into an upper and lower section, the upper contains “The Shrew” among several others.
