Description

The Flat Top Boulder is a simple little bit of sandstone not far from the main 7-mile bouldering area. As the name suggests, the top of the boulder is a nearly level flat surface that runs straight into the ground on the backside making for a nice and easy walk off. All the climbs are on the north and northeast aspects. It's a short boulder, but there is some surprisingly fun climbing packed in.

Getting There

You can access it from the main 7-mile pullout and then walk down through the meadow and just sort of bushbash your way to anything that looks like rock. Or, as I've come to prefer it, you can park at the House Creek turn off and walk the paved road for about 5 minutes or so, just before the guardrail starts on the road and then head off into the woods to your left.
