Warning Access Issue: Seasonal Raptor Closures ***** RAIN AND WET ROCK ***** The sandstone in Zion is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Holds rip off and climbs have been and will continue to be permanently damaged due to climbers not respecting this phenomenon. After a heavy storm the rock will remain wet, sometimes for several days. PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB IN ZION during or after rain. A good rule of thumb is that if the ground near your climb is at all damp (and not powdery dry sand), then do not climb. There are many alternatives (limestone, granite, basalt, and plastic) nearby. Description Suggest change

Mostly sunny. Right off the trail, so in view of tourists. Sandstone with slab like moves and some chossy cracks. Worth a look for some easy bouldering to end the day, or if your partner bails.

Getting There Suggest change

Only 1 mile from South Campground day use area, take the Pa' rus trail until the canyon starts to narrow and you see a bridge that veers left over the Virgin river. Don't take it. The crag trail is at the sandy area before the bridge. This is a restoration area, so please use the trail right by the bridge, as there are paths already created. Pack in and out. Mind the foliage on the trail and the rocks (lichens abound).
